Scientific Resource Center to Support the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force

Establish a Scientific Resource Center to support and coordinate some of the governing functions of the USPSTF and many of the activities associated with all USPSTF topics, including administration, horizon scanning, topic nomination scanning, topic nomination and development, and methods development.

Ongoing Technical Assistance to Support the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force

Methods and Dissemination: Collaboration to Improve Validity, Consistency, and Utility of Systematic Reviews

EPCs shall collaborate on advancing systematic review methods and work to improve consistency of EPC systematic reviews by implementation of established EPC methods standards and other EPC polices and processes.

Cochrane Fertility Regulation Review Group
Oregon Health & Science University – 09/19-06/25
Dr. Henderson serves as a systematic review methodologist and collaborator on systematic reviews for the Cochrane Collaboration Fertility Regulation Group based at Oregon Health Sciences University. This involves the provision of editorial work and scientific guidance, as well as authorship contributions on selected systematic reviews.

AHRQ Challenge on Harnessing Data Visualization to Advance Equity in Clinical Services
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality – 04/24-09/24
This AHRQ challenge uses Tableau to create an interactive visualization that will allow the FQHC clinic to explore their progress in increasing cervical cancer screening by offering self-administered HPV tests. The visualization will identify which patient groups may need extra outreach and whether the intervention has been successful in increasing completion of cervical cancer screening.

AHRQ Patient Centered Preventive Care
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality – 06/22-05/24
This contract will update the list of high-priority clinical preventive services for adults over 35 through expert consensus and identify potential strategies for the patient-centered implementation of these and other preventive services as recommended by the USPSTF and the CDC’s ACIP. We will conduct key informant interviews and environmental scans to identify existing evidence on the implementation of the clinical preventive services and strategies to improve the uptake of these services.

Health Benefits of Breastfeeding Among Children
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality – 12/22-03/24
This contract will fund a large systematic review to synthesis the health benefits of breastfeeding among children including a wide range of outcomes such as infectious diseases, asthma and allergic conditions, oral health, cognitive development, and mortality.

The work was conducted under an MOU with the Kaiser Permanente Institute for Health Policy to identify community-based organizations that work to prevent or mitigate the adverse effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences on a child’s life course.

The work was conducted under an MOU with the Kaiser Permanente Office of Transformation to conduct foundational work that can be used to understand what community-based interventions prevent ACEs or mitigate the adverse effects of ACEs on a child’s life course.
