Prevent HPV Cancers

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection. There are many types of HPV that can develop into cancers including on the cervix, vulva, vagina, anus, penis, tongue, tonsils or in the back of the throat (for more information, please go to the CDC website).

Our team at the Center for Health Research conducts research to test ways to increase HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening, especially for populations who face numerous barriers to getting screened. Vaccine uptake could prevent cancer and cervical cancer screening could find cancers early. On this website, you will find information about the research we are conducting to increase vaccination and cervical cancer screening.

Our research uses trusted engagement approaches to hear patients' voices and honor patients' choices. We strive to provide clinic leadership and staff with the tools and inspiration they need to make meaningful change. Together, we can get more people screened and save more lives from HPV related cancers.
