John Mincks
(1940- )
Education:
Whitworth College, Spokane (BFA 1962);
University of Idaho, Moscow (MFA 1965)
Biography:
Mincks has been called "a painter of rather violent richly hued and surfaced
semi-abstract, figure compositions." He worked at the Portland Art Museum and
served as custodian of the Painting and Sculpture Study Center at the Museum of
Modern Art in New York City.
